BEGINNER CLASSES
Intro to Stained Glass
Learn how to make a stained glass sun catcher using the copper foil method.
In this course you will learn how to make a simple sun catcher using the copper foil method.
At the end of the course you will have a completed sun catcher that is 6″ tall.
Classes are $165 plus GST and materials are included in the course cost. They have a maximum of 10 students.
All classes take place in my studio at MakerLabs (780 E Cordova Street).
Classes are 5.5 hours long with a half hour break in the middle and are run on weekends.
This class is designed for adults so if you have a child that would like to join the class please contact us in advance to see if they can be accomodated.
You will be working with glass and lead. Expect a few cuts. This class should not be taken by anyone that is pregnant as lead may cause birth defects.

WINDOW CORNER WORKSHOPS
Window Corner Workshop
Learn how to make a stained glass window corner accent piece using the copper foil method.
In this course you will learn how to make a stained glass window corner. This piece adds a beautiful decor accent to any pre-existing window frame.
Students will cut, foil, and solder the glass and add a frame and hooks at the end so it can be hung from a window frame. This course will build on the Intro to Stained Glass class and is a pre-requisite in order to take the class.
At the end of the course you will have a completed window corner that is 8″ x 8″.
This stained glass class will take place over multiple sessions.
For participants that register 1 week before the start of the first class, I will create a custom pattern for your window corner specific to your liking.
It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water and to tie your hair back if you have long hair.
Classes are $295 plus GST and materials are included in the course cost. They have a maximum of 5 students.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES
Intermediate Stained Glass Course
Learn how to make a stained glass window panel in a zinc frame.
Intermediate courses are six weeks long and run in the fall, winter, and spring.
In this course you will learn how to make a stained glass window panel.
You will learn how to build a panel in a zinc frame, use the glass saw, and finish your project with patina. This course will build on the Intro to Stained Glass class and is a pre-requisite in order to take the class.
At the end of the course you will have a completed window panel encased in a zinc frame that is 12″ x 16″.
Classes are $495 plus GST and all materials are included in the course cost. Classes have a maximum capacity of 5 students.
All classes take place in my studio at MakerLabs (780 E Cordova Street).
This course is 18 hours in total and takes place over multiple sessions, either in the evenings or during the week.
For students that register at least 1 week prior to the start of the class, I will build a custom window pattern specific to your liking. Otherwise students can choose from a selection of ready made patterns.
You will be working with glass and lead. Expect a few cuts. This class should not be taken by anyone that is pregnant as lead may cause birth defects.

FUSED GLASS CLASSES
Fused Glass Coaster Workshop
Make a set of two coasters while learning the basics about fused glass.
In this class, you will learn some basics about fused glass while creating a set of two fused glass coasters. Fused glass involves melting different pieces of glass together to create stunning and functional pieces.
The class will cover basic glass cutting techniques, including using glass cutters and breaking tools to shape your pieces. Students will learn about different types of glass and their compatibility, and will have the freedom to experiment with different colours, shapes, and patterns to make a set of coasters that are truly unique and personal.
After the class, the coasters will be fused and will be ready for pick-up within a week of taking the class. Students will be notified via email once their work is ready.
This class is designed for beginners, and no previous experience working with glass is necessary.
Classes are $95 plus GST, and are limited to a maximum of 8 students.
Classes are 3 hours long , and all classes take place in my studio at MakerLabs (780 E Cordova Street).

Fused Glass Planter Workshop
Make a pocket planter meant to hang on a wall.
In this class, you will learn some basics about fused glass while creating a pocket planter that is meant to hang on the wall.
The class will cover basic glass cutting techniques, including using glass cutters and breaking tools to shape your pieces. Students will learn about different types of glass and their compatibility, and using fibre paper, to create a planter that can hold a small amount of water. These little planters are great for propagating plants!
After the class, the planters will be fused and will be ready for pick-up within a two weeks of taking the class. Students will be notified via email once their work is ready.
This class is designed for beginners, and no previous experience working with glass is necessary.
Classes are $85 plus GST, and are limited to a maximum of 8 students.

Make a sushi plate, soy sauce dish, and chopstick holder while learning the basics about fused glass.
In this class, you will learn some basics about fused glass while creating a sushi plate, soy sauce dish, and chopsticks holder.
The class will cover basic glass cutting techniques, including using glass cutters and breaking tools to shape your pieces. Students will learn about different types of glass and their compatibility, and will have the freedom to experiment with different colours, shapes, and patterns to make a set of sushi dishes that are one of a kind.
After the class, the dishes will be fired in a kiln and will be ready for pick-up within two weeks of taking the class. Students will be notified via email once their work is ready.
This class is designed for beginners, and no previous experience working with glass is necessary.
This class is $135 plus GST, and is limited to a maximum of 8 students.
Classes are 4 hours long and all classes take place in my studio at MakerLabs (780 E Cordova Street).

FUSED GLASS CLASSES
Fused Glass Christmas Ornament Workshop
Make two to three Christmas ornaments while learning some basics about fused glass.
In this class, you will learn some basics about fused glass while creating multiple Christmas ornaments.
The class will cover basic glass cutting techniques, including using glass cutters and breaking tools to shape your pieces. Students can choose from either pre-made designs, or come up with their own designs, and will have the freedom to experiment with different colours, shapes, and techniques. Each student will make two to three ornaments, depending on how quickly they work.
After the class, the ornaments will be fused and will be ready for pick-up within a week of taking the class. Students will be notified via email once their work is ready. All ornaments will be ready for pick-up prior to Christmas.
This class is designed for beginners, and no previous experience working with glass is necessary.
Classes are $85 plus GST, and are limited to a maximum of 8 students.
