Stained Glass Studio Memberships
Sign up for a membership and work on your own projects on your own schedule!
Memberships are $100 + tax per month and include access from Noon to 9pm everyday, tool use, and project and materials storage.
Note that studio members are also required to have a valid membership with MakerLabs, with a minimum of affiliate access (an additional $100 + tax per month).
As workspace is limited, members are required to book timeslots in the studio for when they plan to come in.
Memberships are currently limited to a maximum of 8 people.

1. Membership Agreement
This Membership Terms of Service (“Agreement”) is entered into between Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. (“Company,”) and the individual (“Member”) who purchases a membership for access to the stained glass studio. By purchasing a membership, the Member agrees to comply with these terms and conditions.
2. Membership Benefits and Access
a. Members are granted access to the stained glass studio during designated operating hours as determined by Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd.
b. Membership is set-up on a recurring billing cycle and runs on a month to month basis, starting the day that Members sign up for membership.
c. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
d. Members are required to maintain an active membership with MakerLabs with a minimum of affiliate access, as a condition of their membership at Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd.
e. Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. is not responsible for MakerLabs’ policies, procedures, or any interactions Members have with MakerLabs. Members must comply with MakerLabs’ terms independently.
f. Membership benefits may include use of shared studio equipment, workspace, storage and select tools.
i. Tool use includes use of the glass grinders, glass cutters, pliers, and miscellaneous hand tools
ii. Use of the glass saw is restricted only to those that have taken the Intermediate Stained Glass course. Members using the saw unsupervised assume responsibility for all risks and fees associated with using the tool.
g. Membership includes use of some consumables including tracing paper, paper towels, rubbing alcohol, and masking tape. Other consumables such as glass, foil, solder, and flux must be provided by Members themselves. Scrap glass and other materials may be available to purchase for an additional fee.
h. Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. reserves the right to modify membership benefits, fees, and terms at any time with prior notice.
3. Member Responsibilities
a. Members must follow all safety protocols and guidelines while using the studio.
b. Members agree to clean up after themselves and return tools and equipment to their designated areas.
c. Members will be given a brief orientation on studio equipment maintenance. Members must check that they grinders they use are topped up with water prior to working on their projects.
d. Members must report any damages or safety concerns to studio staff immediately.
e. Members must not engage in any activities that pose a danger to themselves, other members, or studio property.
f. Members are responsible for any damage they cause to studio equipment or property and may be charged for repairs or replacement. Some fees are noted below. This is not an exhaustive list, and these fees may increase without warning as costs from suppliers increase.
i. There is a $220 fee for breaking the ring saw blade.
ii. There is a $500 fee for breaking the grinder by overfilling it with water and destroying the motor.
f. Members will be assigned storage for their projects. Members must not go through other Members storage without prior consent.
4. Safety and Conduct
a. Members must wear appropriate safety gear (such as safety glasses) when working with stained glass materials.
b. Only closed-toed shoes are allowed while working in the studio.
c. No unauthorized persons are allowed to work in the studio without prior approval.
d. The use of drugs, alcohol, or any impairing substances is strictly prohibited.
e. Members agree to be respectful and courteous to other members and staff. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership.
5. Theft Disclaimer
Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. is not responsible for any theft, loss, or damage to personal property brought into or left in the studio by Members. Members are solely responsible for their property.
6. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
a. The Member acknowledges that working with stained glass, soldering, and other related activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to cuts, burns, exposure to hazardous materials, injury, or death.
b. The Member assumes all risks associated with the use of the studio and its equipment.
c. The Member releases, waives, and discharges Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd., its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation in studio activities.
d. The Member agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. from any claims resulting from injuries or damages incurred in connection with the studio.
e. The Member understands and agrees that they are solely responsible for their own safety and well-being while using the studio facilities.
7. Membership Termination
a. Awesome Sauce Designs Ltd. reserves the right to terminate or suspend a membership at any time if a Member violates any terms of this Agreement.
b. In cases of membership termination due to violations, no refunds will be issued.
c. Members may cancel their membership by providing 7 days notice to hello@awesomesauceart.com, or may cancel their membership themselves using the client portal. Once a monthly membership has been charged it cannot be refunded or “paused” for a partial month.
7. Miscellaneous Provisions
a. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia.
b. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
c. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior agreements, whether written or oral.
